The Trip

For those of you looking for a more refined buddy comedy experience than The Hangover 2, the Brits have arrived to save the day.

In The Trip, comedians Steve Coogan (Hamlet 2, The Other Guys) and Rob Brydon (Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Gavin & Stacey) hit the road to northern England for a restaurant tour commissioned by The Observer newspaper.

This feature-length edit of the largely improvised six-part BBC series promises to give audiences a healthy helping of banter and bickering between two of the greater comedic minds from the UK. Hopefully the magic won’t be lost from the episodic version. But even if it is, there will surely be plenty of gems to mine, what with those charming accents and such. Count me in.
