Disclaimer: The following is a goofy pitch idea of my own conception. Therefore, I will consider any piece of work that resembles this pitch idea an inconsiderate rip-off. That is unless, of course, someone pays me handsomely for it.
Jake Collins is the best baseball player on his Indiana baseball team. But when his mom moves them to California, Jake finds out that the competition is stiffer than he’d imagined.
As a walk-on to the team, Jake quickly realizes that his Indiana work ethic isn’t enough to impress the rest of the Welling High Wildcats. And just when he thinks his stellar play will win his teammates over, he learns that most of the team is doing steroids…and the whole town encourages it. The discovery tears Jake trying to fit in trying and doing the right thing for his future.
Will Jake succumb to the pressures of being a standout ballplayer, or will he show his teammates that hard work and a great attitude is all you need to succeed?
