The Other Guys

So now we know why Will Ferrell, Samuel L. Jackson and Mark Wahlberg were hanging out last year.

Sight unseen, it seems like a can’t-lose combination. Now that the trailer has been running, and knowing that “The Rock” Dwayne Johnson and Michael Keaton are also involved, there’s no doubt that this movie will be the best intentional comedy of the summer (possibly the year).

My only concern is whether they’ll explain how two unlucky cops like Allen Gamble (Ferrell) and Terry Holtz (Wahlberg) could possibly last on the NYPD long enough to make detective. But it probably won’t matter once the hilarity begins, which should be instamatically.
