Disclaimer: The following is a goofy pitch idea of my own conception. Therefore, I will consider any produced piece of work that resembles this pitch idea an inconsiderate rip-off. That is unless, of course, someone pays me handsomely for it.
Hoping to impress his Senator father (Bill Paxton), a young CIA agent (Shia LaBeouf) takes an assignment to aid the Contras in the fight against the Sandanista National Liberation Front in 1983. But when he arrives and learns more about Nicaragua (including the trafficking of cocaine into California to fund the war effort Contras’ war effort), he switches sides to help President Daniel Ortega (Benicio del Toro) and the Sandanistas to restore order and keep his own country honest.
